Harbor Beach
Harbor Beach is the crown jewel of beaches in the city of Oceanside, California. The clean, white, sand on the largest of the Oceanside beaches has everything you and your family need for a fun and exciting day in the sun. Breakwater Beach
If you are looking for a nice beach in Oceanside, California to bring friends and family, then Breakwater Beach is the place for you. This beach is a popular location for surfers, volleyball players, and beachgoers alike. Safety is important here and there are always lifeguards on duty.
Note: during the summer months this beach is closed to surfers in front of the Lifeguard Tower (#8). Always check before surfing here.
The facilities in Breakwater Beach include several picnic areas, volleyball courts (make sure to bring your own volleyball) and restrooms that even equipped with showers. These recreational areas also have a few fire rings. This beach is at the mouth of the river, so you should be cautious and aware of any currents that could be dangerous for small children and adults alike. Parents, never let your children play in the mouth of the area unsupervised.
Pier View North
Pier View North is a beach that has more sand and space than any of the beaches in the South, due to the Pier Amphitheater that is located on the South Pier. Pier View North has fewer activities available, which makes it a perfect place for a gathering at the beach or a family outing, especially if you want more room for yourselves. During the summer months, no surfing is allowed at this beach, but there are other beach activities allowed. The warning signs and flags will let you know what and what is not allowed at the beach.
